Prepare for Black Friday easier! Tips!

By Jessica Jennings, Macaroni Kid Charles November 25, 2015
Black Friday
The term "Black Friday" is the day in which retail stores have enough sales to put them "in the black" - an accounting expression that alludes to the practice of recording losses in red and profits in black.

Be Black Friday Ready with Macaroni Kid!
The resource I find the best and have used for years is BFADS.net

You can easily-

  • Search for the items you are looking for against all the stores at once, so you can see who has the best deal. (PS4, chainsaw, blender, Legos)
  • See all the scanned ads
  • Create list and print off everything you want to get! Create free account; items are grouped by store.
  • It's continuously being updated with the latest ads and sales
Here are a few links to get you there faster- Black Friday Ad Scans & Hot Deals

Tips!

Rain Checks

I received one in 2012, 2013 and 2014

I received a rain-check from Target on Black Friday! The sale price sign was missing the "No Rain-checks" so I took a picture of the sign with my phone with all the information and to my surprise and theirs, I was allowed a Black Friday price rain check!

Military or able to shop at NEX?  The NEX has begun price matching online sites! That's right you''re a screen shot away from a tax free Black Friday deal! Amazon.com, Best Buy.com, Sears.com, Toys R' Us.com, Babies R' Us.com, Wal-Mart.com and Target.com! So hit the NEX and see what they have to offer for what you want for the holidays.  Then input that item into the search menu on the site above.

Amazon Holiday deals start on Friday, November 20, with new deals added as often as every five minutes for eight straight days - so keep an eye on their Black Friday page to not miss anything! Customers will have 10 Deals of the Day starting at midnight on Thanksgiving, and up to 10 more on Black Friday. Allowing early Prime access to certain lightning deals too! (Prime members only)

Heads Up!-
NerdWallet reported, some stores will increase the "original" price of a product in a Black Friday ad by listing the manufacturer's suggested price rather than the one they usually use in stores. That makes the discounts seem that much bigger on Black Friday. Take a look at the same product's "original" price in various stores, and you'll likely see different prices for the exact same thing because of these tricks. So instead of being dazzled by a 50% off label, take a look at the actual sale price, do your research, and decide whether you're willing to pay that amount.
