I always say that Stone Mountain Park is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. There are so many things to do, see, and have just plain ole good family time.
Due to time constraints (Girl Scout Camp) we were only able to see a few things including the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team. This team was on America’s Got Talent. I am so impressed with their back story. The trainer was a former Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus performer and now he is getting these boys off the streets, gangs, and drugs. You don’t want to hear about that, you want to hear why you should go see them. From the time the Chicago Boyz start their performance it is pure adrenalin. Its more than an acrobatic performance. They are using the 12-year-old boy as human jump rope. (Please do not try it at home). There is audience participation and SO much fun.
My kids voted on Mini Golf after the show was over. They love the last hole the best because where that is where the train comes out.
Afterwards we went to the Yellow Daisy Craft Store. DANGER DANGER. Cute adorable homemade crafts that you would see at the Yellow Daisy Festival for sale. Please do not tell you I didn’t warn you about the crafts. Their inventory is constantly changing too.
Finally, we got to see the Laser Show. Stone Mountain updated the show with drone wars. Then there Was the Three flame cannons that add a punch to the show by sending a trio of flames nearly one-hundred feet into the air. Plus, special new fireworks spray multi-colored bursts and dance on the water at the base of the mountain.
The best way to see the show is on the VIP terrace seating. It includes Unlimited popcorn that can be enjoyed until the start of the show, Coca-Cola® beverage, Novelty ice cream, and a Glow item.
