Holidays for Heroes

Send Holiday Cards to the Military and Veterans through Your Local Red Cross Chapter!

By Laura Miller December 1, 2016
For many years the American Red Cross has coordinated a program that allows community members to send Holiday cards to veterans and members of the military. Previously the cards could be sent to one national address, however, since 2014 the program has been called Holidays for Heroes and is handled on the local level by individual Red Cross chapters.

To find out your local chapter's guidelines for the cards, where and when to send/drop off cards, or for information on local events and other ways to get involved, visit your local chapter's website. Local sites may hold events for signing or making Holiday cards, schedule times for sorting cards and coordinate local delivery.
