Coming from New Jersey, it’s hard to get into the Christmas Spirit in the South. Six Flags over Georgia makes it possible! My family and I last week were given complimentary tickets to Holiday in the Park, my opinions as always are my own.
Right after you go through turnstiles, you are transformed into a Christmas Wonderland. The men on stilts, the carolers, and of course the tree.
You head to the right of the park, you go through a magical tunnel, then you are transformed into the Georgia Christmas. Don’t forget to inhale, this area smells like peaches.
We saw Because its Christmas in the Crystal Pistol Music Hall. It’s about two kids who all they want for Christmas is their Dad to come home from being deployed. The children seemed to have lost the Christmas spirit, and with help from their new friends, they rediscover it. You might need your tissues for this musical. I know I did.
After that we went on rides. The views from the rides were amazing says my son. I highly recommend purchasing the Flash Pass. You can cut the line and not get yelled at! Prices range $30- $70 per person.
Save room for desert and hot drinks! The have this delicious peppermint chocolate covered pretzel. Also, you can purchase a travel mug for $8 and great unlimited hot drinks (Coffee and Hot Chocolate) the day of visit.
You can purchase tickets HERE. Please check the site for times and days the park is open.
