Kids across the country are gearing up for Halloween, one of the most exciting holidays. Nothing can beat the costumes, candy and parties. Unfortunately, all of the festivities can mean added costs! According to the National Retail Federation, the average American celebrating will plan to spend an average of $74 on decorations, candy, costumes and more.
To lessen the financial burden, we’d love to introduce you to the Brother CreativeCenter™, which offers free printable Halloween decorations, activities, masks, cupcake sleeves, treat boxes and invitations.
We personally love the treat boxes, which can replace any plastic pumpkins or bags found in stores. They hold a few pieces of candy and look festive to boot.
Making the boxes is as simple as printing the template, cutting along the outer edges, folding along the solid lines and taping into place. Fill with candy, tie with ribbon and you have the perfect treat for classrooms or parties.
The total time to make a treat box is around 5 minutes, and even less once you get into the swing of it. For a fun activity with the kids, you can cut out the boxes while they tape them and fill with candy. Just make sure most of the candy goes into the boxes and not their mouths!
If hosting a party, additional Brother CreativeCenter invitations and decorations match the boxes, helping create a bigger theme. Halloween bunting, paper chains and small figurines are all available for printing on the site and can really add a festive look to your home.
If activities are what you need, Halloween-themed coloring pages are available as well. All you need are a few crayons!
