Healthy Teeth Craft

By Laurie Corbett, Publisher Mom, South Shore Boston February 19, 2016

February is National Children's Dental Health Month, so we put together this simple activity that families can do together to help talk about dental health.

Click HERE to download the tooth drawing we used, or draw your own.

What You'll Need
• 2 large tooth shapes for each child
• Magazines or store flyers
• Kids scissors
• Crayons or Marker

What You'll Do

As a family, talk about how certain foods and drinks are good for your teeth and other foods are not. Then have the kids go through an old magazine or store flyer and cut out any foods they like. On one tooth they can glue the foods and drinks that are good for their teeth, and on the other they can glue the foods and drinks that are not good for their teeth. Kids can also draw pictures of their favorite foods to add to the teeth.

This is a great project for kids who are visual learners and makes a fun reference for when they want that sugary treat (remember to brush afterwards!!).
