Rescue Dog Olympics 2017

All Dogs & Their Humans Welcome! March 25, 2017 at Brook Run Park

By Rescue Dog Olympics March 20, 2017

Rescue Dog Olympics 2017 is a celebration of rescue dogs and their forever families. It will be an event like no other… an interactive, fun field day of silly and competitive games for dogs and their humans to participate in together. It will be an event filled with festivities, interactive dog game stations, dog related vendors, and dog photo booth, food, a beer garden and Rescue Dog People! The event takes place on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Brook Run Park (at the Pavilion area) in Dunwoody from 11 am – 4 pm.

Rescue Dog Olympics is presented by Blue Buffalo Company and Hollywood Feed. The goal of the event is to create a vehicle for the 19 Atlanta Pet Rescues/Organization partners, to spread their message and to shine a light on the importance of pet adoption. There are countless dogs awaiting their forever homes in the Atlanta area pet rescues/shelters. People need to adopt—not shop for their next dog to stop the overpopulation of dogs in shelters and rescues. There will be puppies and sweet dogs with most of the pet rescues at the event for you to meet and discuss adoption! Event organizer, Jill Waddell of Blue Twigs Consulting & Events, says “The event also wants Atlantans to get in the present moment with your dogs, return some of their constant unconditional love by spending quality time with them! Check out the site for the Olympic game stations so you can play and practice together!” Each human/dog team can pre-register for free or just show up and register on site to enter into the silly/fun competitions.
