When a new baby comes into a family, there are many adjustments that everyone in the family needs to make. The biggest is perhaps time. Giving time to the what seems like constant demands a baby needs
Babies are wonderful, but they can also wake you up at night. They drool, spit up, and make lots of smelly diapers. They can’t talk or walk. And need lots of attention and care from their parents.
If you are the sibling to a new baby, it may be exciting one minute and annoying the next. Especially when your parents are giving the new baby so much of their time and attention and less on you.
This is what Tim in THE BOSS BABY experiences. Tim is a happy 7-year-old who as he says “has an overactive imagination” which he enjoys his parents taking part in. But then one day, THE BABY arrives. And by taxi?!
Tim has a hard time accepting his brother and how the baby is taking his place in the family. And what starts as a plan to rid the baby from his family ends up being an adventure that brings the two together. And both learn that they need each other and even love each other.
SYNOPSIS :
THE BOSS BABY, a hilarious family comedy about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator — a wildly imaginative 7-year old named Tim. The most unusual Boss Baby arrives to Tim’s home in a taxi, wearing a suit, carrying a brief case and speaking with the voice and wit of Alec Baldwin. The sibling rivalry between the two brothers is reluctantly cast aside when Tim discovers that Boss Baby is actually a spy on a secret undercover mission, and only he can help. An outrageous adventure ensues as the pint-sized partners prepare to thwart a dastardly plot involving an epic battle between puppies and babies.
Inspired by the best-selling picture book by Marla Frazee, this riotous comedy for all ages features the voices of Alec Baldwin as Boss Baby, Steve Buscemi as the villainous Francis E. Francis, Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow as Tim and Boss Baby’s unsuspecting parents, Miles Bakshi as Tim, and Tobey Maguire as the film’s narrator.
DIVA said she really like THE BOSS BABY as it was funny (fake-barf, baby butts, words like fart, poop, doody) and adults will like some of the movie’s spin on other films like a ‘Matrix’ moment. Or playing on Beauty & The Beast as this trailer shows:
