Planned PEThood of Georgia Pet of the Week: Merlin

By Planned PEThood of Georgia January 7, 2021

Planned PEThood of Georgia
is a non-profit organization. Their mission is to reduce the number of animals killed in the local shelters and to provide affordable services, not to make a profit. They keep overhead costs low in order to keep their prices affordable. Donations are welcome to assist with their efforts!

Merlin is a 4-year-old FIV+ cat who was at a high kill shelter. He is really very sweet but sometimes gets a bit overstimulated, as we believe he had spent his whole life outdoors. He LOVES food, and he also loves kittens. He is not the biggest fan of other adult cats, he is a picky boy. He also loves to play with cat toys, and most of the time acts like a gigantic kitten.

Merlin is positive for FIV, but is negative for FeLV, spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. The kitty has a microchip that will be transferred to the adopter upon completion of the adoption process. The adoption fee is $90.00

If you would like to meet Merlin or know if s/he will be attending an adoption event this week, please contact the foster, Jeani Wampler, at 770-597-8540.

You can find Planned PEThood of Georgia, Petfinder page, HERE.  On Petfinder, you can find more information about the animals featured, or different kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs to bring home.

Planned PEThood of Georgia hosts adoption events each weekend at several locations. They are at the Petsmart in Johns Creek (corner of Medlock Bridge and McGinnis Ferry Roads) and also at the Petsmart in Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road) every Saturday starting at noon. They occasionally host adoption events at other locations. Please visit their Facebook Page or Website to see where they will be this weekend!

Ready to adopt this beauty? Please complete our online application here.  It will be reviewed and the foster will then contact you. (Alternatively, you can download and print the application and then scan it back to adoptions@pethoodga.org)
