City of Sandy Springs Introduces New Event to Celebrate Mother’s Day

First Mother-Son Dance

April 22, 2021

This Mother’s Day, the City of Sandy Springs offers families a new event to celebrate the very special mom (or mother figure) in our younger residents’ lives. The City’s Recreation and Parks Department introduces the first Mother-Son Dance scheduled for Saturday, May 8, from 6 - 8 p.m. in the Terrace Level room in the Conference Center at City Springs. The event will feature dancing, games, snacks, refreshments, and door prizes. Each boy will also receive a souvenir photo and goody bag.

“For more than 11 years, we’ve hosted an annual Daddy-Daughter Dance, which has grown in popularity over the years. We thought it fair to provide the same experience for our moms and sons,” explains Recreation and Parks Director Michael Perry.

Attire is business casual to semi-formal with a cost of $35 per Mother and Son duo. There is an additional fee of $10 for each additional son. Admittance at the door is $40 per duo. To register, please visit the Sandy Springs Recreation and Parks registration site.
