Kamayan Kids Cooking Class

May 18, 2022

From the very beginning, a huge part of our mission is to inspire and nourish the next generation.

Our brick and mortar isn’t just a place where you eat, it is a welcoming space for the older generation to reminisce and for the younger ones to gather, to learn about our culture and roots.

So this Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 12 pm - 2 pm we are finally launching Kamayan Kids

We will be doing a series of workshops (like the Parol workshop we did pre-covid), language/cooking/art classes, and other events geared for our little Pinoys and Pinays.

To kick it off, we’ll do storytime!

We have a whole stack of Filipino children’s books and “Cora Cooks Pancit” was the first to arrive in our delivery.

So we’ll read that first.

Tita Mia will cook Pancit for everyone in attendance (and since I will be busy cooking, if there’s someone who wants to volunteer to read, DM us!).

This is a free event to celebrate #aapiheritagemonth. Nanay, mama, mommy, register your kids now! kamayanatl.com/kamayan-kids

It starts at noon. Pancit and samalamig (refreshments) will be served afterward. Every kid will go home with @mangoandsushi_sticker_shop Kamayan stickers. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡
