Summer Reading Guide

Summer break is here, but that shouldn't mean books are left on the shelf. When students don't read during the summer months, research shows that students can lower their reading level by three months over the summer. When students’ reading level drops over the summer it is referred to as summer slide and widens the achievement gap.

To encourage kids to continue reading over the summer, several organizations have created Summer Reading Programs.  Below is a list of programs for our Sandy Springs Dunwoody Macaroni Kid.
