I have two boys. Two rambunctious, energetic, jumping off the bed-onto my back-rolling on the floor-boys. I admit I have those 'days' when I wake up (or hardly make it out of the bed!) in anticipation of the day ahead thinking, "Wow! This motherhood thing sure is some hard work!" And yes, I feel frantic and overwhelmed some days, but at the end of the day, when the little guys are asleep and I have time to reflect, I always find myself smiling or giggling to myself about some 'thing ...

Company J at the MJCCA, continues its inaugural mainstage season, May 9 – 13, 2012, with a charming family musical – A Year With Frog & Toad. Cheerful Frog and grumpy Toad hop from the page to the stage in this wonderful production. Conceived by Arnold Lobel's daughter, Adrianne Lobel, A Year With Frog & Toad remains true to the spirit of the original stories as it follows these two great friends through four fun-filled seasons.

Saturday, May 12 through Sunday, May 13 - Third Annual Dunwoody Art Festival

The whimsical and fun Dunwoody Art Festival will stretch two city blocks and will feature an Artist’s Market that will extend for more than a third of a mile, continuous live entertainment from local musical acts, an interactive children’s area with lively rides, face painting, sand art and great surprises from Dunwoody’s own, Purple Hippo. The popular Food Court returns with great eats for hungry shoppers who need a quick break before returning to find more unique art treasures.
Where: The event takes place on Chamblee Dunwoody Road between Mt. Vernon Road and Dunwoody Village Parkway (DV Parkway will be closed to thru traffic from 2am Saturday, May 12 through 9pm Sunday May 13).

Wednesday, May 9 - Out of the Loop Writers' Group

Meetings feature topical discussions, socializing, critique and support, all centered around the art of writing as it applies to all genres and types.  This is a weekly reccurring event.
