Throughout October, we have a unique opportunity to help generate up to $400,000 to support public education in schools in DeKalb, Fulton and Clayton counties.
Local public schools are participating in the Fuel Your School program, an innovative collaboration between Chevron and DonorsChoose.orgto help fund eligible classroom project requests, submitted by teachers who don’t have the necessary resources for their students.
How you can help today
There is still money up for grabs for our children’s teachers. The deadline for full funding for all eligible projects is Sept. 30 so please speak with your child’s teachers and urge them to sign up and post a request on DonorsChoose.org today!
From Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, 2013, when you fuel up with 8 or more gallons at a participating Chevron or Texaco station, Chevron will donate $1, up to $400,000 to help fund all of these eligible classroom projects for public schools in Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties. You can even track the progress of funded projects in Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties at www.FuelYourSchool.com.
Since its inception in 2010, Fuel Your School has helped fund 8,915 classroom projects at 1,924 schools in the U.S. The program has grown each year to support students in communities where Chevron has business operations and can help make a big impact for the students in Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton counties.
Tell everyone you know – friends, relatives, even the cashier at the grocery store – about fueling up in October, and be sure to go to Facebook and “like” Chevron Fuel Your School.
