Angels Among Us Pet Rescue (AAUPR), Peachtree Corners Animal Clinic and Mercedes-Benz USA present The Fast and the Furriest 5K and Festival. The event, which will be held on Sunday, June 4th, 2017 at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, GA, will raise funds to help AAUPR rescue homeless pets from high-kill shelters throughout the state that are at risk of being euthanized.
Individuals interested in registering for the race can do so by logging on to www.angelsrescue.org/5K. Registration will include entry to the run or walk, a limited-edition event t-shirt, a goody bag for both individuals and dogs, and post-race snacks. A total of three awards will be issued for male and female top finishers in the overall, masters, and nine respective age groups. All ages are welcome to register, and the race has been approved as a Peachtree qualifier.
Healthy, well-socialized and trained dogs are welcome to participate in the race with their handlers.
Additionally, our festival is open to the public from 9am-1pm; you can meet media darling, Fenix, or even have your dog run the Lure Chase! There will be family-friendly fun for everyone.
Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from
high-kill shelters in North Georgia. AAUPR has rescued over 12,500 lives since its 2009 inception.
