Dunwoody Dash

October 14, 2017

By Austin Elementary September 20, 2017

Austin Elementary is at it again with another fun Dunwoody Dash, taking full advantage of Fall weather on Saturday, October 14th. The race will have jumpies, face painting, bubbles, food and plenty of fun for parents, neighbors, and kids.

The Dunwoody Dash comes on the coattails of Registration, where Austin Elementary Eagle Foundation held its annual Foundation Drive, raising funds to enhance the student’s learning experience, mainly by increasing staff. While the Dash also raises money to support the Foundation, its true focus is to bring students and the community together for the benefit of health and wellness. Just like last year, the Dash will be a bigger event that will last longer, include more activities and social outlets. The kids will have Kona Ice snow cones while the parents drink their coffee and nibble on good eats.

The Eagle Foundation was initiated by Kelley Patilla, Foundation President, and since her creating the Foundation Austin made great leaps by becoming AdvancED STEM Certified and earning the Governor’s Honor Platinum status for Greatest Gains and Highest Achievement.

Join us on Saturday, October 14, at Austin Elementary for a 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run. The event starts 8:30 a.m. Registration is $25 and includes Dunwoody Dash T-shirt. If you aren’t a runner, come and support those who do and have fun on our complimentary jumpies!

Austin Elementary
is located at 5435 Roberts Drive in Dunwoody.
