By recycling a simple household item - toilet paper rolls - we were able to create several "fly up" food stations for our feathered friends.
Here's what you need:
- Empty toilet paper rolls
- Peanut butter
- Bird Seed
- Butter/plastic knife, bowl or plate
- Using a butter or plastic knife, spread peanut butter on the toilet paper roll. It's a sticky job, so there may be some finger-licking. Not that we would know.
- Roll the peanut butter coated roll into the birdseed. You may need to push some of the seeds in so a good amount stick.
- Take the rolls outside and place them over a tree branch. Then, sit back and wait for the birds to arrive!
