After we were seated, we were greeted by our waiter telling us about the specials of the day. I already knew I was getting my ultimate favorite Zuppi Di Pesce and Linguini (This Coveted Seafood Treat is an Italian Tradition Awarded Dreary Fisherman After an Arduous Trip to Sea F-r-e-s-h Grouper, Clams, Mussels, Calamari & Scungilli Sautéed in Plum Tomato Sauce, Wine, Garlic & Herbs). My husband decided on the Calamari and the Linguini (Squid Sautéed in Tomato Sauce, Garlic, and Mushrooms). We just needed to decide on an appetizer. There were so many choices to choose from, but we decided on the Clams Casino.
The Clams were made with expertise. You could taste each of the major individual component: clams, bread crumbs, garlic, and of course bacon. My husband inhaled four of the six of them, they were light and delicious.

I haven’t even discussed the garlic bread that magically appeared on the table. The butter and garlic was melted into the Italian Bread.
Whenever we go to an Italian restaurant, the first thing I look for is Zuppi di Pesce. After living right by the ocean in Charleston SC for 5 years, we know fresh fish. Owners Maria and Antonio Fundora must have it flown straight from the coast. It’s that fresh. The sauce was just right, there was a huge abundance of Grouper, clams, mussels, calamari & scungilli. It took me at least 10 minutes to take out all of the fish from the shells. The pasta was homemade and you can taste the love that was put into making it. The portion was HUGE. It took me at least 3 meals to eat everything.

The Calamari and Linguine with Red Sauce was made perfectly. It was a healthier version since the Calamari was not fried but broiled. The garlic and mushrooms mixed well with the abundance of squid while the linguine was moist in the delicious red sauce.

Please, please save room for desert. A Desert boy comes around with a tray of deliciousness.
I wound up getting the cannoli and my husband the apple turnover. There are no words to describe the creaminess or the pastry. The only thing I can think of exquisite.

Maria walks around the restaurant, making sure all of her guests are comfortable. Her son, also walks around. All of the staff, not just your server, makes sure you’re happy and your water is filled and your table is clean. Antonio pops out of the kitchen a few times to make sure his guests are satisfied.
It is very hard to impress my husband and me with Italian Food, because of where we both grew up. (Right outside NYC). However, I will tell you Casa Nuova Italian Restaurant exceeded our expectations. If you are in the mood for a family friendly, date night, or a just a night out with the girls I would run to the restaurant.
I was given a delicious array of pastries in exchange for this review, however my opinion is my own.
