Smores Cones

A fun twist on a popular treat!

By Jennifer Hill August 1, 2014
Whereas no one can really agree on the exact origin of the s'more, no one can argue that it has become a popular treat for backyard picnics, campouts and beach gatherings. In fact, the treat of chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows continues to be recreated in versions that continue to delight dessert lovers of all ages. This version combines all the traditional flavors of the s'more, gives everyone the opporutunity to add-in a few more favorites and keeps the treat contained in an easy-to-eat package!

What you need:
  • Waffle or Sugar Cones (we used waffle cones – they are a little bigger)
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Any other food items you’d like to stuff into the cones (peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, banana slices, etc.)
  • Foil
What you do:
  1. Set out the ingredients and let everyone fill their cone by layering with their favorite items.
  2. Wrap the filled cone with foil and heat on grill or over a campfire for 5-10 minutes, turning several times.
  3. Carefully pull back the foil and enjoy the s’mores yumminess in an easy to eat cone!
What flavor combinations will you try?
