Make Bird Feeders for National Bird Feeding Month

By Christel M. Hoydic February 20, 2015
February is National Bird Feeding Month! Why not join in on the fun and give the birds a reason to visit your backyard?

Kids of all ages will enjoy creating their own bird feeders in the shapes of their choice. The best part is you probably have the two materials needed at home already: Cheerios and chenille stems.

Pour a bowl of Cheerios and start stringing them on your chenille stems. Shape them into circles, hearts and squares or string them together by twisting the ends.

Hang them on a tree branch outside your window and watch for birds to fly in to enjoy their snack!
