A few weeks ago, my family and I went to Myrtle Beach for a mini vacation.  We stayed at the Crown Reef.  We were guests of the resort in exchange for this review.   As always, my opinion is my own.

When you first walk into the Guest Services, you are greeted by friendly staff and an adorable gift shop.   After we checked in, we went to our room.   What a beautiful room.    When you first enter the room, you are welcomed to two Queen sized beds with a television.   We put the kids here.  Crown Reef   There is a full kitchen filled with everything you need from home.   Across from the full kitchen, you find a spacious bathroom.   After you leave the kitchen / bathroom area, there is a den area.  Here you find a table, a sofa (bed) and a murphy bed with another television.   My favorite part by far is the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Crown Reef
But we did not visit Myrtle Beach for the room.  We visited to be near the ocean.   Just over the gated bridge is the ocean.   Crown Reef

The resort of Crown Reef is amazing.  Crown Reef is one of the few Myrtle Beach hotels with a waterpark! The Crown Reef  Waterpark towers nearly 40 feet above the ground and features a 278-foot long two-person tube waterslide, a single-person
302-foot long waterslide and an 8-foot tall, 20-foot long slide for the little ones!   My kid’s always start with the lazy river.   They love to relax in the water on a raft.  Crown Reef My kids loved the waterslides.  The world's first hotel explosion world tube waterslide.  It stretches over 278 feet long and stands at 38 feet tall.   You can go down the explosion slide single or with a friend.  The twister slide is 38 feet up in the air and features twists and turns.  Both slides end in a seasonally enclosed area.

My 7 year old went to Salty’s Splash House.  It features giant dump buckets, twister slide (for children under 48 inches). She absolutely loved every moment of it.

If that was not enough, there are 5 shaded hot tubs. There are also 4 pools including one indoor pool and a kiddie pool. Crown Reef Crown Reef

The one thing I love about the Crown Reef is that they are thinking of your kid’s safety.   Before you go into the pool area, you need to unlock the “pool gates”.   I am not sure if that is a hotel pool regulation, but it makes me feel safer.

There is also a full gym at Crown Reef.   So you can work out even when on vacation.  Crown Reef Crown Reef

The Crown Reef has a full arcade too.   Crown Reef

They also have daily programming like a magician, tye dye shirts, ice cream sundae party to name a few.

Finally, the Crown Reef has two restaurants on site and a full bar at the pool.
