No-Bake Oatmeal Energy Balls

Quick and easy!

By Jodi Lorence, Macaroni PM May 13, 2016
This recipe is one of the favorites of my daughter's hockey team. I make them almost weekly or when the stash runs out.

Ingredients:
2 cups of oatmeal (dry rolled oats)
1 cup of peanut butter
1 to 2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup chocolate chips (your preference)

Directions:
1. Combine the oatmeal, peanut butter, cinnamon and honey together. You can add more oatmeal or more peanut butter to get the right consistency to roll into balls.

2. Add the chocolate chips and form the mixture into bite sized balls and put on parchment or wax paper. The balls should be moist enough to hold together but not too sticky to stick to your hands when they are done.

3. Store the balls in a bowl with an air tight lid.

Not only are these a more healthy option, they are delicious and full of protein. Cinnamon and honey are added for their amazing health benefits. Enjoy!
