Pizza on the Grill

By Tawnya Burket August 11, 2016
I've been on a grilling kick since summer started and have been experimenting with foods to grill that wouldn't necessarily be prepared on a grill. One of my favorites, and my kids', is Grilled Pizza! So simple and fast and you don't have to turn on your oven in the blazin' summer heat!

All you need to do is place a frozen pizza on a pizza pan and cook it between 400-450 degrees for about 8-10 minutes with the lid closed.

However, note that you will need to check on it often because it does cook faster on the gas grill than it does in the oven. I turned the pizza pan several times to keep it cooking evenly and once the ends started to crisp up, I lifted the pizza to check the middle to see if it was done.

It is definitely a crispier style of pizza and it has an excellent fire roasted taste. My daughter said it was the best oven-made pizza I've ever made, and when I told her it was cooked on the grill, she was surprised.

Happy grilling and enjoy!
