Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Parm Sandwiches

All parents can use a few quick and easy, but sure to please recipes for dinners at home or on the run. This recipe for Slow Cooker Chicken Parm Sandwiches fits the criteria. The prep is minimal and using the slow cooker means that it's ready to eat when you are!

In your slow cooker, add a package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, a jar of your favorite pasta sauce and a jar of water. Cover and set the slow cooker to high heat for 4 hours. Remove the breasts from the slow cooker and shred with two forks, then place the shredded chicken back in the slow cooker. Add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese to the slow cooker and stir until combined. Scoop some of the chicken on top of cheesy garlic toast! Add a sprinkle of shredded Mozzarella cheese to each piece of open-faced sandwich. Broil for 3 minutes, and serve with your favorite veggie or salad.

The possibilities are really endless for this dish. You can serve it over pasta or on lettuce to make wraps, alone as a heavy soup, in tortillas, etc. Some other fun garnishes include fresh parsley, diced tomatoes, or chopped broccoli! It's also great the next day as a filling for quesadillas.
