The Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF)

By The Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF) March 8, 2018

The 9th Annual Atlanta Jewish Music Festival (AJMF9) proudly caters to the entire community. This year, along with family performances by Philadelphia based folk musician Chana Rothman, AJMF9 is especially engaging Jewish Atlanta’s teens' members through a performance/songwriting program and a teen Battle of the Bands.
Local teens will have the opportunity to play with a number of local and visiting artists at both private and public events through this year’s collaboration with Jump spark. JumpSpark is part of the Teen Funder Collaborative, supported by the Jim Joseph Foundation and local partners.
“This year's festival has a wide array of programs for families with kids of all ages,” said AJMF Programming Co-Chair Drew Cohen. “From the Jump spark Music program for teens to Shimon the musical robot to Chana Rothman's tot Shabbat and family show, there are great opportunities for kids (and their families) to experience great music,” Cohen added.
JumpSpark Music is a week-long series of events, speakers and performances geared to musicians, music lovers or teens considering music as a course of study in college and potentially as a profession. Led by Atlanta musician Sammy Rosenbaum, JumpSpark features workshops and performances by local and international musicians such as Yemen Blues, Joe Alterman, Zale, Chana Rothman, and select members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The program runs March 11-15 with workshops Sunday afternoon and weeknights and is open to teens in grades 9-12.
