Tuesday, May 5, at 12

By Ga Gives April 30, 2020

The Georgia Center for Nonprofits (GCN), Georgia’s preeminent nonprofit capacity-building organization will host a Facebook Livestream on Tuesday, May 5, at 12 noon highlighting some of Georgia’s nonprofits who sustain communities around the state during this critical time of need.

In an emergency response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the GAgives on #GivingTuesdayNow Facebook Livestream will drive generosity, enhance citizen engagement, and increase nonprofit support as we face uncertain times. Nonprofits from across the state applied for this special event in an effort to engage individuals, supporters, and more.

GAgives on #GivingTuesdayNow will provide the opportunity for nonprofits to mobilize their community around the state, tap into the power of their networks, and strengthen communities. During the Livestream, people can show their generosity by visiting GAgives.org, searching for organizations or causes they care about, and donating what they can in a matter of minutes.

Since its founding in 2012, the GAgives movement has rallied over 284,000 individual gifts, totaling more than $41.5 million in donations, for thousands of Georgia’s nonprofits.
