in Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Chamblee, and Doraville

By Diana Friedman Cole, Owner Publisher Editor Sandy Springs Dunwoody Macaroni Kid June 3, 2020

As a Mom of two High Schoolers, who were very excited to work over this summer, and then all of a sudden the Quarantine started and they lost their jobs.   I know how disappointed they are/were.

This page has many entrepreneurial students, who have started their own business.

Please feel free to contact them!

Emma (Rising Junior at North Springs) has a passion for baking.   She created a baking and cake decorating camp.

Sam (Rising Senior at Dunwoody High School) is doing tennis lessons for people. They are $20 an hour and he goes to their courts preferably in the Dunwoody or Sandy Springs area. He is also doing driveway games with young kids as well. Please reach Sam at 770-940-0596.

Liam Harris (2020 Dunwoody High Graduate) started a bike fixing business during the quarantine and he has been busy all over the area. Please contact Liam at 770-756-5780.

Do you want help keeping your kids entertained this summer?

Izzy has started a business where she is doing crafts virtually with Kindergarten to 4th graders. (Izzy is going into 6th grade.)

A lot of the crafts are drawing or making simple things that the kids can easily do at home in front of a computer or iPad. Here is a quick survey to figure out what you would like Izzy to help you with.

If you have any questions, she can work with you beforehand to make sure your child will like it.

Price is $3 for a 30-minute class and $6 for a 60-minute class.

Hi! I'm Geordie, around my house my parents and older brothers call me Lishy.  I created DeLishy's during the Pandemic to deliver homemade, fresh ice cream to my neighbors.  I love creating new flavors and bringing smiles to my customers' doors! I always use fresh ingredients in Delishy's Ice Cream.  Adding new flavors weekly is keeping me creating based on customer input.  I love naming my flavors after the people who support me and I also enjoy creating custom flavors!
My name is Brooke Guggenheim and I am a rising 7th grader. I have always been into art and I have wanted to take it to the next level for a year now. My business is called B Crafty. I chose this name because my name is Brooke and I love to “be crafty”. I am sewing face masks and donating the proceeds to a puppy shelter, called Bosley’s Place. I have always loved animals and wanted to incorporate them into art. This coming October I will become a Bat Mitzvah. This is when a Jewish girl becomes an adult. This has become my mitzvah project so that I can help by doing something I love.
Double layer cotton masks are available in a variety of sizes and patterns. They are $8 each (Dunwoody, GA pickup) or $10 each (shipped). Please contact my mom at 770.845.4820 for more information.
