At Brandon Hall, summer is not a respite from the activity of the academic year. In truth, we are bursting with life, student energy, and living our mission to inspire students to live lives of leadership, scholarship, and service. Our program offerings are varied and our summer sessions bring hundreds of students to our campus for one-of-kind learning experiences.

Global Youth Leadership: In 2017, Dean J. Fusto, President and Head of School, founded the Center for Global Youth Leadership and Social Entrepreneurial Studies with a bold vision to inspire middle and high school students to be crafters of ideas and not simply consumers that marketers target. He wanted to attract students from our community and abroad to unite around offering innovative and creative solutions to the most pressing challenges of their generation. Using the United Nations 17 Goals for Sustainable Development, Entrepreneurial design models, and Leadership Theory as a foundation, our students immerse themselves in summer and academic year programs that push them to make an impact. Through a rigorous, varied, and experiential curriculum students pursue their "passion projects" and entrepreneurial ideas with the guidance of experts from the corporate, non-profit, social service, and Consular sectors. The Center programs are never confined to the classroom, our students are immersed in both fieldwork and our historic 24-acre campus, surrounded by the beautiful Chattahoochee River.

Academic Summer School: Brandon Hall School Summer Academics are great for students seeking to get a head start on next year’s coursework and students seeking to remediate weaknesses and replace low grades. At the end of the summer, students receive a grade and a transcript for each of their classes. Students may request that transcripts of their grades be sent to their home high school or to any college to which they are applying. In-person and virtual programs, as well as day and boarding options, are available for all students! In-person classes run 8:00 am to 3:00 pm with an hour break for lunch. Virtual class schedules will vary, with synchronous and asynchronous sessions determined by the instructor.

ELL Global Village: ELL Global Village™ welcomes students from around the world, and allows you to live and learn English in an experiential program. Students will be fully immersed in English speaking, reading, writing, and listening to help them hone their skills both inside and outside of the classroom. Students will balance academic classroom study with daily cultural and educational experiences around the Atlanta area. ELL Global Village™ is an intensive program, which helps students refine their communication skills and prepares them for future success. Rockets and Robotics STEAM Camp: Our Rockets and Robotics STEAM Camp will be covering several topics that align with the national science standards and contains several hands-on activities! The first week of camp will be Rocket Week. During this portion of the camp, students will learn the technical details of rocket building and they will design multiple rockets that will be launched at the end of the week, with a visit to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL to see replicas of the rockets used by the United States for the purposes of space travel. Week two will focus on robotics. Students will be learning how to design, build and code competition robots for the VEX robotics league, working hands-on with state of the art technology to develop a robot that can accomplish simple tasks to very difficult tasks. Then in week three, we combine rockets and robotics to design mobile launching platforms with robot recovery vehicles to retrieve the spent rockets. The students will be creating video presentations focussing on their designs for both rockets and robotics throughout the entirety of the camp to share on the last day.

Spanish Language Immersion Camp: Summer is a great time to improve your Spanish!
