Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Celebration, Sun, April 27

Create Dunwoody is proud to present its fifth annual celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage on Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lawn at the Ashford Lane Lawn (1230 Ashford Crossing). This free community event will showcase vibrant cultural performances, interactive art and craft displays, food, and engaging activities for all ages.

“Each year, this event brings our community closer together by celebrating the incredible diversity and traditions within AAPI cultures,” said Rosemary Watts, Executive Director of Create Dunwoody. “The 2025 celebration will include returning favorites as well as new engaging performances, highlighting a rich mix of music, dance, and cultural experiences.”

The emcee for the event is Sophia Choi of WSB-TV.  The celebration will feature live performances from the Laotian American Society Dance, Mega Dance Group, Atlanta Wushu Center, Lotus Petals Dance Group, Magic Eastern Ensemble, Nepal Dance, Atlanta Dragon Phoenix Beats, T1 Dance, Snow Angels Dance Group, Muay Thai Kickboxing, FASCA Lion Dance, Third Prince, Yo-yo, K-pop, and Natyam Arts Academy).  Cultural tables and activities will include Chinese Calligraphy, Organization of Chinese Americans – GA, displays from India, Japan (Ikebana & Origami), Thailand, and Nepal, Henna, Zentangle art, Asian crafts and jewelry, and more.
