The City of Dunwoody Economic Development Department and Create Dunwoody will host the Latino Hispanic Cultural Heritage Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 1 to 4:00 p.m. at The Lawn at Ashford Lane, located at 4500 Olde Perimeter Way. This free event is open to the community and will showcase dance, music, art, and food.

“This is the fourth year for the event and our second year at Ashford Lane, which is a beautiful location that’s open and accessible to all,” said Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch. “The community’s enthusiasm grows every year as we build awareness of the different cultures that make Dunwoody special.”

The event is co-hosted by Create Dunwoody, a nonprofit that fosters a thriving arts and culture scene as a catalyst for economic growth. Featured performers and groups include the following: Corners Outreach Music Academy, Peruvian Cultural Association, Caló Gitano Dance Studio, Ballet Folklorico Alma Mexicana, Los Niños Primero, Teatro Ilegal, Michaels Martinez Salsa Dancing, and singer Veronica Gleasson. Lisa Torres will host games with the audience, and Renzo’s Fire will lead a cooking demonstration.

The celebration will also include the following exhibitors: Pinatas HereUGo, Face Painting by Isabel Rodriguez, Consulate General of Argentina, Chewy Vet Care, Puerto Rico table by Compass Family Chiropractic, Frutty Pops, Peach State Health Plan, Superica, Whole World Improv Theatre, Padron Law, Big Blue Marble Academy La Mexicana hat bar, and Medina Wellness Chiropractic Center.
