NEW in Dunwoody: Two Bridges Park & First Splash Pad Now Open!

May 23, 2023

Two Bridges is the first public park in the Perimeter Center of Dunwoody and the first park in the city with a splash pad.

“Thousands of Dunwoody residents will now have green space and park amenities within walking distance,” said Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch. “I am so excited about the park, but I’m especially thrilled that we are able to include the City’s first splash pad at Two Bridges.”

Two Bridges is a five-acre park that features the following:

• A splash pad that’s 28-feet in diameter

• An 8,000 square-foot playground that’s ADA compliant

• Walking trails with a natural surface that travel downhill east from the playground and through the wooded area along the North Fork of Nancy Creek

• Two picnic pavilions

• Exercise station

• Restroom facilities

** The pavilion at Two Bridges Park is first come, first serve. We do not rent it. Please be considerate of others when using the pavilion for parties and small gatherings.

Two Bridges was originally scheduled to be built in 2020 using hotel/motel taxes. But funding dried up during the pandemic, and plans were put on hold. Last year, Dunwoody City Council approved the use of American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds for the park, which cost $3 million to build.

“The location of this new park expands access to our park system,” said Dunwoody Parks & Recreation Director Brent Walker. “In addition to providing great new amenities, this park also supports our goal of connectivity since it ties into the Dunwoody Trailway and pedestrian bridge over the North Fork of Nancy Creek.”
