The City of Sandy Springs presents the first annual OktoberFEAST, with family fun on tap October 19 and 20 on the City Green, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. both days. Enjoy live music by the Swinging Bavarians, German beers, authentic Bavarian cuisine, and polka lessons! Admission is free.
The fun starts at 3:00 p.m. when Auf Geht's performs, then at 5:00 p.m. the Swinging Bavarians take the stage. Authentic Bavarian food and beer will be available for purchase; for those 21 and older (wristband required), a curated selection of specialty beers will be offered for sale, including Hefe Weissbier from the world’s oldest brewery, Weihenstephaner. Additional offerings include Festbier from Tucher Brewery and Benediktiner, and Oktoberfest Lagers from Goat Island Brewery and The Brooklyn Brewery to bring the festive spirit to every sip.
Menu items available for purchase includes tempting Bavarian treats such as German hamburgers, Kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes), Sauerbraten, Schnitzel, Apple Strudel, German Chocolate Cupcakes, and assorted fudge.
We'll have great vendors like Mater Day with flower crowns, Southern Local Nuts, because nuts make your beer taste even better, The Urban Lumberjack with accessories for your next gathering, and World Famous Myrtle Beach Candy with a popular German treat: funnel cake!
