Chamblee Celebrates the Grand Reopening of Village Park March 28

Join the City of Chamblee as we celebrate new upgrades to one of our neighborhood parks! Village Park underwent extensive renovations to replace grass turf with artificial turf in its multi-use field. Funding to improve the park was awarded to the City of Chamblee in 2023 from the Georgia Improving Neighborhood Outcomes in Disproportionally Impacted Communities Grant. Chamblee was awarded $422, 391. 20 to improve neighborhood assets such as parks, recreation facilities, sidewalks, and healthy food access in communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“The City of Chamblee is excited to showcase the new upgrades made at Village Park and have already seen an increase in park visitors since the completion of the artificial turf,” said Parks, Recreation and Arts Director, Jodie Gilfillan.

To celebrate the improvements, the City of Chamblee is hosting a neighborhood block party titled “Live! On Your Block, Village Park Reimagined,” on Friday, March 28 th at 6:00 p.m. at Village Park, located at 3397 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341. The event includes an outdoor movie screening of Moana 2, games, a food truck, and free popsicles for the first 100 people. For more information, visit www.chambleega.com
