City of Dunwoody Celebrates Bike Month

The City of Dunwoody invites residents to celebrate National Bike Month in May with two exciting group rides promoting fun, fitness, and community. “These rides are a great way to experience Dunwoody by bike and see how we’re working to make it safer and easier to get around on two wheels,” said Dunwoody City Council Member Joe Seconder. “Bike Month is a great opportunity to celebrate active transportation and bring our community together.”

Bike to Lunch with Dunwoody City Council

Friday, May 9 | 11:30 a.m. | Meet at Dunwoody City Hall

Join the Dunwoody City Council and Dunwoody Police for a special lunchtime ride. Riders will cruise through the Perimeter area with stops along the way to discuss current and future projects supporting safer places to bike in Dunwoody. Bring money for lunch at Park Center on Hammond Drive. Use this link to register.


Family Bike Ride & Kids to Parks Day Celebration

Saturday, May 17 | 9:00 a.m. | Meet near the Brook Run Park Skate Park

Kick off a day of family fun with a group bike ride along the Dunwoody Trailway. Meet across from the Brook Run Park playground near the Skate Park for a 9 a.m. meet-up and 9:15 a.m. safety review with Council Member Seconder.

At 9:30 a.m., the family-friendly ride will begin, following a scenic, 3.2-mile roundtrip route through Brook Run Park, Pernoshal Park, and Georgetown Park. All ages and abilities are welcome, and the ride will be paced to accommodate everyone. After the ride ends around 10 a.m., stick around for Kids to Parks Day festivities in the front oval of Brook Run Park. Learn more using this link.
