"Acknowledging 400 Years of his-tory"
1619 is the year that slavery started in America and June 19, 1865, is the date that represents the ending of slavery in America. 1619. 2019 marks surviving 400 Years of some of the worst conditions ever inflicted upon a people in history. In spite of that, we are here and we thrive! Juneteenth Atlanta is offering a 400-year acknowledgment and commemoration of our history through a three-day black history music festival, a black history parade, a fireworks show, family reunion's, a children's pavilion, second line, vendors, cultural cuisines, an artist market and much more.
