Macaroni Kid was invited to a sneak peek at HEYDAY DUNWOODY, a New York-based brand making its Atlanta debut in Dunwoody. Their certified estheticians provide a relaxing 50-minute facial that is formulated individually for each customer along with product recommendations to address their individual needs. They also offer optional enhancements such as Gua Sha, Microdermabrasion, LED Light Therapy, Professional Peels and a Lip Boost.
Usually when I go somewhere for a facial, they use items from only one or two brands and then push those brands at check out. The first thing I noticed when I entered HEYDAY DUNWOODY was the tremendous variety of skincare products on their shelves. For each type of product, such as cleansers, serums, eye creams, etc., they have curated their top choices from many different brands. And I like that they also offer good, better and best options, so one does not have to sacrifice using quality skincare products for budget constraints. This really made me feel confident that they were recommending the best products for my skin and not just promoting a particular brand.
My esthetician, Jordan, settled me into a very comfortable, reclining chair and wrapped me into a cocoon with the sides of the sheet, then thoroughly cleansed my face, finishing with a warm towel. He covered my eyes, turned a bright light and with a magnifier, evaluated my face and told me exactly what my skin needed. The products he used were luxuriant and smelled heavenly. Jordan not only gave me one of the most relaxing facials I have ever experienced, but he also explained why he chose the products and enhancements he recommended for me. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions.
He encouraged me to add the LED Light Therapy which increases collagen production and helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It was warm and felt great. We also added the Gua Sha enhancement. This is an ancient Chinese massage technique that helps tone, detoxify and lift the skin. If you have never done this, I highly recommend it. It felt amazing!
